"The loss of vanity means freedom."
Love yourself as you age. At times I have complained about having chin hairs and a few dark spots and wondering what is up with my face. But I have realized that it is all about aging. Sure there are ways to reverse it by spending tons of money on plastic surgery but I refuse to do that. Plus I don't even have the money to do that! I look at myself and truly love me. Every flaw, every dark spot, skin tag, mole, wrinkle.
And can we mention the grey hair. At first I was a bit nervous of growing it out but with patience (lots of it) I let it go and I absolutely love my hair! It is liberating to not care about looks anymore. Or how I look in pictures. So I say to every younger woman to embrace your age and all the imperfections that come with it. Aging naturally is the best feeling. You save money, time and eventually you learn to get used to the fact that aging is part of life. Everyone wants to look younger these days and I get that but just be mindful of your face and body. Take care of it. Because we only have one! Here's to 54 with grey hair, a few blemishes with a side of crow's feet.
