Fourth time going to Art Omi and the 2.5 hour drive is always worth it and never disappoints. The huge wide open space. The art sculptures. Nature. Serenity. Quiet. Major social distancing. I love it and I'm so glad I found out about this place during the pandemic. There's always new pieces of art on exhibit inside the visitors center and new sculptures displayed outside. It's fun and I'm always in awe looking at them. Reading about them and how the artist depicts it. We all had a nice time going and taking Hyrum for the first time reminded me of when Jon first went. I have to admit I look at the sculpture before reading about it. Jon and Hyrum really delve into the concept and meaning behind the sculpture. They read every detail. I love it! I love that Lexie and I have smart, intellectual men in our lives! I look forward to coming again and bringing more of our kids here!

Art Omi In The Summer of 2023.
ART. Art- no matter what form it's in is something we all love in this family. The kids and I have been to Art Omi multiple times but this was Jon's first time and Noah was all excited to show him all kinds of art sculptures. It's an outdoor place and not only do we get to explore nature and go on a little hike but we get to see art at the same time! Noah loves coming here and this little trip never gets old. There is always something different being displayed and sculptures that really make you think and study as to why it was made. This year there were even a few new art installations. You can also see different art sculptures when I came with Lexie here and Chelsea and Noah here.

Art Omi In Ghent, New York!
The more we hear all about the great things that New York has to offer the more we love it!! We heard about this huge art sculpture park out in the Catskills and we made a day trip of it and spent the entire afternoon here. It was the best. It was unique. And best of all...it was FREE! The visitors center was closed but all the sculptures are outdoors. They are all spread apart so social distancing was on point. We thought that Grounds for Sculpture was huge, but Art Omi covers more ground! It's also one of the biggest art parks I've been to so far so make sure you wear comfortable shoes cause you'll be doing a lot of walking. We covered most of the park and it took us about 3 hours. We walked at least 100 acres of it and boy were our feet tired! This was a perfect place for Noah to roam around freely without bumping into anyone. Poor kid needed to go outside more. Here's hoping for more outdoor trips especially when "homeschooling" begins!
Now for some really cool art sculptures! I only captured a few in photos of some of my favorites. And you can see some videos of the house sculptures here and here!
