The Eclipse 2024.

I don't think I've ever been so excited to see a solar eclipse than the one this year. Maybe it's because I'm older. Maybe it's because I have a boy who enjoys science and loves everything about space. Or maybe, just maybe it's because this might be the last eclipse I'll witness in my life. Nah, I don't think so. I'll be 72 and hope that I'm still alive to be able to see the next one with Jon and maybe my future posterity! It was really cool to have experienced this with my son in our backyard and he was really into it. He was taking lots of photos and even did a little tiktok which he won't post. I did capture a photo of us on my Be.Real (another favorite app) as well as a selfie so here you go...

Summer Is Not Over Yet!

We have two weeks of summer break before school starts, and the kids have been taking advantage of summer being outdoors. The weather hasn't had any rain in the forecast lately which has been perfect for the past couple days!  Our interest in watching the total eclipse yesterday went from a ten to a three when we realized that Lexie had plans after tennis practice to do some volunteer work until 2pm, and we didn't have any eclipse glasses. I'm sure we could have made some with a cereal box, and Reynolds wrap, but in all honesty I'm not sure if they would have worked.
