A Disco Christmas At Industry City!

Can't believe we are already 12 days into December! Where has the time gone! Especially since I haven't blogged since the end of November. That just shows that I'd rather be offline taking in the moments of the Christmas season and just chilling. I love to write and journal but there are days when I'm just not in the mood and when I do journal/blog I have a lot of catching up to do. Plus, my hands begin to ache after typing for so long so eventually there will come a time when I most likely won't blog anymore. Who knows! But I do love this time of year and couldn't let time pass without blogging about my favorites in the city. We venture out so much in NYC that I love to take pictures of every art installation and epic Christmas decoration! On this day we went to industry city and the courtyard was all decked out with disco balls! Such a cool decoration. This courtyard in industry city always has the coolest holiday decor. Noah and I had a little photo shoot and it was the best!

Happy April - Happy Spring, Happy Everything!

Weather in April has been bipolar lately. We have had rainy cold weather for a week and then for one day it was 75 degrees. I know that April showers bring May flowers but I would actually like the weather to feel like spring instead of winter! Regardless of the weather I try to make it a good day. It's funny how we go out on rainy, overcast days but I realized that those are the days that are perfect for outdoor pictures. Industry city has a beautify floral installation right now and we went earlier this month and it's absolutely gorgeous! So colorful and with Easter approaching makes it a perfect backdrop for photos. Even for Mother's day next month! We are expecting warmer temps this weekend so let's hope the forecast isn't teasing us about all that sunshine next week! Happy Spring!

Autumn In Industry City!

These pictures were taken during the "Hallowdays" at Industry city where they go all out in decorating for Halloween and all things fall-ish. I love all their decorations inside and outside this place. Ever since they redid this whole section of industry city years ago it has become one of our favorite go to spots when we want to explore somewhere different other than Manhattan. I personally like venturing out to every spot in the city where my kids can explore a variety of things. This is also the perfect place for a photo op! I captured a few photos of the kids surrounded by pumpkins, haystacks, and gourds. Such a cool spot to sit after an afternoon of shopping and eating. They always have different cool art installations where the little kids (and big) can have fun. Truly a place to come when visiting New York City! Especially during the holiday months!

Mini-Golf In Industry City!

Going a bit backwards here on the blog and writing about some of the things we did in early fall and because we love mini golf had to document this so the kids can look back and say, "hey, I remember that day! That was sooooo fun." The kids developed a love for mini golf over the summer and when we went to the Industry city last month around my birthday we happened to stumble upon a pop-up mini golf course in so after we had Burger Joint we paid the 5 buck deposit and played a couple of rounds and had an absolute fun time! The theme of this pop-up mini golf course was of course "New York" so I captured a few photos of the kids golfing and had to capture a picture of Noah's favorite installation of King Kong atop the Empire State building.
