Riverside Park in the Spring of 2021.

Looking back at a few photos from spring this past year. Summer is waning down and here I am continuing to catch up on my blog in September. Riverside park has become one of our favorite hangout places. I started bringing my kids here since 2015. Once we saw Little Manhattan I knew that this park was going to become a favorite and here we are five years later still scooting around. And watching You've Got Mail in the 90's didn't help either. I have always loved that movie and told myself if we ever live near NYC I am going to that garden on 91st street. And here we are making more dreams comet true. It was a perfect spring day and the weather was perfect. I love this crew of mine and its bittersweet watching them grow up. Here are a few photos from that day....

Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument On Memorial Day.

Fro the longest time Riverside Park has become one of favorite parks. The kids have scooted their scooters here and we've been to the 91st street garden a million times. We've passed by this monument a gazillion times but one thing we've never really done on Memorial Day or any other day is stop and pay tribute to the fallen and read about the soldiers and sailors monument. It truly is a historical site and because we've been to General Grant's tomb and the fact that it has been closed off since the pandemic decided to walk around the S&S monument and remember. I captured a few photos of Noah while Chelsea was finishing off homework. In spite of a long, rainy weekend Memorial Day turned out to be pretty sunny and cheerful I am so thankful for all who have served and continue to sacrifice their life for our country. Thank you! Our prayers are with you and your families. Happy Memorial Day!

Hello Fall!

"Don't you love New York in the fall?
It makes me want to buy school supplies.
I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils
if I knew your name and address."

A snippet from Nora Ephron's romantic comedy, You've Got Mail.

Little Manhattan.

When we come to New York I always want to appreciate it. I don't want to rush the day or quickly eat the food at my favorite restaurants (and there are sooooo many I love!) I want to appreciate riding the subway without having to complain on how crowded it can get, or because there aren't too many seats available. I want to appreciate taking the cab without complaining on how fast they drive because I drive fast myself.

The 91st Street Garden In Riverside Park.

For those of you who are familiar with movies filmed in New York particularly the You've Got Mail garden scene, I'm sure that this place will bring back some fond memories of Meg and Tom in that wonderful movie! I can't begin to tell you how beautiful Riverside Park is in the spring.
