Summer review.

So far this summer is going by way too fast.  The kids have been super active with walking, swimming, birthday partying, running, sweating, talking, walking, never ending hide and seek, netflicking, bike riding, walking. Oh...and did I say walking?

And, a lot of this...napping

and this...more napping,

 and,
I have to admit that it is so easy to just jump into bed after weeks of strenuous activity, hardcore playing, and visiting with friends. I feel so good about myself knowing that as I am sitting on the couch watching "Cold Case" that I can turn off the remote at the drop of at hat, and like a mean mom shout out..."Time for scripture study everyone!" My better half may have just come home from work around 9pm, but he knows how important it is to read as a family.

No matter how late it is...

As soon as we are done reading, the end result to an evening of late scripture study after a day of venturing out by foot looks like this...more napping (well in this case immediate shut eye as soon as we closed with a prayer!)
This summer has been interesting to say the least, and I am loving every minute of it. I kind of don't want it to end...yet!

So much to write...so little time.

Sleep sounds real good right now. I need it in order to blog accordingly so for now...I'm leaving you with this short post.
This past weekend was fantastic, and because we didn't want to come home so soon from seeing this uplifting spiritual production in upstate New York, and going to Mystic Seaport in Connecticut we decided to leave close to midnight. If you're familiar with the distance from Connecticut to South Jersey your estimation is correct. Our arrival time by car was close to three o'clock this morning!

Yep...we Jorgensen's love each other's company and because both of our oldest daughters are headed off to church girls camp for the week...I wanted to post this photo of them sleeping so hard due to having so much fun before heading out.

We definitely wore them out including little Noah. They may not look too comfortable sleeping but when you are tired I don't think sleeping in odd positions makes a difference.

I will blog more posts about our daily adventures as well as anything that inspires me to write throughout this week. I have so much to say and will share once I catch some zzzz's.

I can't believe this is the last week of July! August is coming way too quick for us, and I hope y'all are taking advantage of the summer by spending a lot of time with your family.

While you were sleeping

Today is the first day of June and it is hotter than blazes outside. We were trying to endure the heat indoors without turning on the A/C, but could no longer tolerate the humidity that crept in with it. I don't like staying indoors for too long, but when I do I am grateful for central air. Since school is still in session I have to walk to the bus stop to pick up Chelsea. Can you guess what I always bring with me on these hot sweltering days walking three blocks to go pick her up?

Water...lots of it!
Noah (of course),and
My camera...because I LOVE taking pictures.

I LOVE this picture I took of Noah in his car seat on the Snap 'n Go (I can't believe he still fits into it.) Surprisingly, he's not sweating...yet. I kept him in the shade while we waited for his sister, and fell asleep with his wooby in the process. His legs are long which means we will have to buy a bigger car seat soon and a stroller (no more Chico and Snap 'n Go)!

As I was waiting for the bus I was observing the looks of that of my son...

I LOVE his tanned little long legs, and his piggy toes. He has that beautiful olive colored skin...just like his mom.

I LOVE his little "papa" nose (you have to be spanish and from Texas to understand that term.) It's perfect.

I LOVE his perfect shaped pinkish lips.

I LOVE the fact that he doesn't have a lot of hair (saves me time and money on giving him hair cuts.)

My baby boy is growing up too fast!

He is definitely going to be a future heartbreaker.

He's. Too. Cute. And. I. LOVE. HIM.

I am happy to have taken that moment to just pay attention to him. As mothers, how often do we do that?

Think about it...
