It was 1:30 p.m. and as we walked into Noah's class it seemed as if the party had already started. The kids were eating ice cream cones, and as we stood in the classroom waiting for instructions there was nothing but laughter, and chit chat. Noah gazed over at me and Jon with a huge smile, got up from his chair to hug us, and then sat back down to finish his ice cream.
Oh how I wish I would have volunteered more at the girls schools while they were elementary age, but I can't turn back time. All I can do is make up for it with a big heart by helping out at Noah's school as much as I can, and I absolutely love it! I never thought that I could surround myself with so many kids for a certain amount of time because of my patience. It seems that now that I'm older my patience with kids has increased, and for that I am truly grateful! Good thing because of the calling I have at my church!
