Happy Thanksgiving Week!
I can't believe Thanksgiving is this Thursday and that November is almost over!! Last weekend we went to the city and saw the holiday decor at Macy's. It always looks so magical every time we go and it never gets old looking at it every year. We have been coming here sine Noah was three years old. He may no longer sit on Santa's lap but he always obliges when I want to take pictures. He's so fun and at times a bit silly but I can tell the he loves the city just as much as I do even though he doesn't say it enough.

Countdown To Thanksgiving!
The countdown to Thanksgiving has begun and Macy's is all decked out for the holidays! Always look forward to taking a photo of Noah standing right smack in the center of the entrance. It's become tradition since the pandemic happened! Looking forward to Thanksgiving this week and to have at least 2/4 of our kids spend it with us! So excited for the holiday season to begin soon!

Macy's At Christmas.
Don't get to psyched on this post because this is the only picture you're going to see from Macy's at Christmas this year. Noah is definitely getting way too old for the holiday display windows at Macy's. He said that this year the window displays were baby-ish (LOL) and I have to agree. Baby-ish for him but not for the million other toddlers and kids who may still believe! Noah still believes in Santa and loves his elf Miles but I have a strong feeling that this will be the last year we see Miles. Who knows. But this is the only photo I captured of Noah walking away from the crowds and display window and because he looks so cool and all had to share! We still had a fun time walking around and in all honesty with all the crowds this holiday it's best not to take photos and to just enjoy the moments offline instead of being in someones way trying to take pictures!

"Give, Love, Believe" Theme At Macy's In NYC.
Thanksgiving was very different this year. Due to the pandemic this was the first time in years that the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade was televised with no spectators. We watched it on the telly and in all honesty wasn't too thrilled with the results but we understand why. There wasn't very many balloons but the new ones that came out like Boss baby and the artist Kusama's octopus balloon was pretty cool. Still...watching it from home was making me miss it big time but we are thankful to have been present at past parades and to have been at home safe watching it on the television. We had a nice Thanksgiving dinner with all the mixings and great company. We are so thankful for the blessings we have received this year so far with being spared from covid and to be safe in the comforts of our home. The #givethanks campaign really put my life into perspective on expressing more gratitude. Really grateful that President Nelson challenged us to give thanks. It truly does wonders when you either write in your journal about all the things your thankful or expressing it online. It was the best healing gift he could offer to everyone in the world especially with all that's happening right now.
Now that Thanksgiving has past and the Christmas season is here we are looking forward to Christmas in the city. We love exploring all things Christmasy in the city and the GIVE, LOVE, BELIEVE theme for this year's Macy's holiday display is so fitting for this year. So let's continue to "Give, Love, and Believe!

Dear Santa, I Still Believe...
At 10 years old Noah still believes in Santa Claus and in writing letters to him which makes my heart burst! Even though he sees different Santa's in different locations he still believes he is real. I think watching movies like Santa Claus and Home Alone helps Noah believe in miracles. I know eventually he will grow out of the Santa phase and will most likely stop sitting on his lap as gets older, but I'm enjoying this time while he's still little.

Scenes of Santaland
It was a magical time at Santaland this past week, and Noah and Chelsea sat comfortably on Santa's lap. This year we arrived when the lines were super long, and my two oldest missed out on seeing Santa.
They didn't mind.
It's not as if they've never experienced Santaland before...
Of course when Noah was one he was looking at Santa as if he didn't know what he was talking about, but then seemed as if he was paying close attention to the words of Old St. Nick.
| Santaland at Macy's in NYC, circa 2010 |
They didn't have much to say to Santa this year. I was very surprised with Chelsea. She only has about five things on her list and only mentioned one...dress up clothes, and the only words that came out of Noah's mouth were "choo choo", and "train".
We always enjoy going to Santaland at Macy's in New York during Christmas. We don't mind the crowds, and the 30 degree weather that comes with it. If you don't mind driving long distances or driving period, you won't mind driving in New York City traffic. I'll warn you that patience is a must! It doesn't matter if everyone in the world spends Christmas in New York, and that we go at the busiest time of the year.
Because...
the look on these two faces...is PRICELESS!
