Happy Thanksgiving Week!
I can't believe Thanksgiving is this Thursday and that November is almost over!! Last weekend we went to the city and saw the holiday decor at Macy's. It always looks so magical every time we go and it never gets old looking at it every year. We have been coming here sine Noah was three years old. He may no longer sit on Santa's lap but he always obliges when I want to take pictures. He's so fun and at times a bit silly but I can tell the he loves the city just as much as I do even though he doesn't say it enough.

Christmas Magic In NYC!
There are so many cool decorations that go up around the end of November and not enough time to get to all of them. As redundant as these photos get on the internet they never get old! Especially the Rockefeller center tree! We haven't gone to see it since they delivered it last month but hope to capture its beauty again this weekend. As crowded as fifth avenue gets during the holidays it is worth it to take in all the magic of what the city brings when it comes to the holidays. So much to do and see. My two youngest are in their teens and till this day even my 22 year old lights up when she sees the city all decked out for the holidays. It's a beautiful sight and look forward to seeing a little bit more before the holiday ends! Now for some holiday photos of the city!

Christmas In NYC!
Living near the city certainly has it perks especially during the holidays. There are so many places where we go year after year that never gets old. No matter how many people take and post the same picture on social media, the ones I take are my own and they are for me to remember and I don't mind sharing it and documenting it. I captured quite a few photos this year that may very well make it into the blog in the new year because there are so many Christmas posts I have drafted that I want to share, but today I will share what Christmas in the city looks like. And when you have kids that tag along they make it even more magical!

Holiday Decorations In New York City!
This past week so many ornaments have been displayed in the city. Some nostalgic that have been set up for years and some new. Our favorite decorations are the huge red ornaments near Radio City! It truly livens up the city at Christmas. And at night...oh you have to see them at night. They are so lit and bright! The huge bow displayed at Cartier, and the huge colored lights are another favorite. This year they added huge candy canes as well! Perfect for a christmas photo. We love everything about this city during the holidays which is why we keep coming back for more.

A Few Highlights From December 2019!
Even though a new decade has begun I'm going to rewind a bit and share a few highlights from Christmas that didn't make it to the blog in December. I love every single moment I capture with my family, and I'm beginning to slow down even more on the whole blogging thing. I love to write, and share stories and because Instagram is a lifesaver for me right now feel that it's a lot easier to share snippets of our life on the daily or on a weekly basis on that platform. So if I'm not consistent on blogging you'll know why. Check my Instagram for shorter posts since I have a feeling I'll be on there more often this year and decade than sharing on my little blog!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!
Christmas is already in motion in New York city and on the weekend of Noah's birthday we happened to be in the city where New York's most famous decoration arrived at the Rockefeller center. The Christmas tree! We were so excited to have witnessed this without it being super crowded. Noah was amazed at how huge the tree was. He said it looks huge and plain without the decorations and lights on! I have to agree. He was impressed with all the workers securing and working around the tree to get it ready for the lighting ceremony.

A Few More Things To Do In NYC This Christmas!
We may not live in the city, but boy do we "live" for the city! Next to New England, New York has become our second home, and place to visit because we are always venturing out there. A few friends have even asked if we've moved there only because we frequent there so much. This city all year round is magical, and energetic. It doesn't matter what time of the year you come because it is so fun, and beautiful! Christmas time is one of our favorite times of the year to go, and Thanksgiving day is when we begin to celebrate the holidays!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas in NYC!
I wish we had more time to spend in the city after watching the Macy's parade before going back to Jersey, but had to leave due to dinner plans with friends. However, I am grateful for time, and that we at least got to walk around for a bit to take in some of the sights. Every year it's the same decorations in the same spot, and every time we come to see them it. never. gets. old! Never!

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade 2014.
I love, love the holidays and I'm so grateful that we survived yet another holiday. This Thanksgiving turned out to be perfect in every way. We may not have cooked, had major family over, or prepared huge dishes, but spending it with one of my dear friends including my sweet family in New York City was perfection.

Christmas in New York
So we kept our yearly tradition of going to New York City and taking the kids to see Santa at Macy's. This past Saturday was super busy, and it didn't help choosing a Saturday to go to the city where our schedule was packed.
Our early Saturday consisted in cleaning the church we attend, and some of the young women (including Sierra) did service in another ward by being a part of the Breakfast with Santa activity. We had to wait until she was done, hence getting a late start on our way to New York.
It gets dark at 5pm so we managed to do most of the things we wanted to do.
Except go ice skating in Bryant Park! The lines were super long so we decided to just continue to walk the streets of New York, eat chicken shish kabobs, pretzels, roasted peanuts, and go to the Rockefeller Center.
It was getting late, and everyone was getting tired (except Chelsea & Lexie). Poor Noah was freezing and fell asleep in Dad's arms. We seriously need to invest in a stroller that reclines so he can sleep comfortably.
On our way back to the parking garage I snapped this photo of a beautiful display of the Nativity outside of a brownstone in Manhattan.
Even though we didn't get to do some of the things we wanted to do... seeing this display of the nativity made me feel less guilty, and it reminded me of all the reasons why we have CHRISTmas.
It makes me so appreciative, and grateful to have so much LOVE for our Savior Jesus Christ.
