Oh The Things We See In New York City!
Ahhh! You never know what you're going to see in the city! A couple of years ago we stumbled upon the coolest, most unique installation in the city. We were just walking around union square when we spotted a REAL taxi cab that was halfway into the ground. I mean, I've seen some crazy stuff but this was absolutely unreal! I loved the creation and the fact that it had a chess board on one of the tables with yellow stacked chairs was a plus. Noah loves chess and sat down to check it out. The installation was only up for that day so we were lucky to have been at the right place at the right time!

Water's Soul- A Public Art Installation In Jersey City.
We've been having a staycation and have been venturing out to various places near our neck of the woods. I saw this enormous sculpture on TikTok and wanted to check it out. It's located in jersey city at Newport pier and it's called Water's Soul by Spanish artist Jaume Plensa. It sits at the heart of the Hudson waterfront and stands at 80 ft. tall. These pictures I took don’t do it justice! You gotta see it in person! The kids sat down and relaxed while I was snapping away this beautiful sculpture at different vantage points. This is one of the best public art installations up to date and it is absolutely amazing! The best part is that it faces my favorite city!

Urban Jungle On Park Avenue!
Urban Jungle on Park Avenue...
Heard about these “polymals” sculptures and we finally had the chance to take a look at them. Noah and I enjoyed walking down park avenue talking while taking about them and he even chuckled a bit when he saw that the mammoths name was Manny from ice age. His favorite was of course the gorilla. He loved the broadway show King Kong and loves all the King Kong movies!
These colorful, polygonal shaped animal sculptures by world-renowned artist artist and sculptor Idriss B. and Murray Hill Neighborhood Association included Rexor the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Mojo the Gorilla, Baloo the Bear, Manny the Mammoth and more. The are all displayed along Park Avenue between 34th and 38th Streets. They are on view until next February so plenty of time to plan a trip to the city to walk down park avenue to see these amazing sculptures!
