Girls Beach Date!

Beach days are an absolute must in the summer time and since we only live about 40 minutes away take advantage of our time to go. We've been a few times this summer and plan to go again before school starts! While Noah was at scout camp we decided to have a girls beach date and we had so much fun. The water was extra warm and we literally didn't want to get out of the water! Chelsea was a true aqua woman and having the best time and even though she missed Noah at times it was nice for her to be able to go deep into the ocean and swim. Normally she'll stay close to Noah and play in the water with him but since he's not a swimmer doesn't like going in too deep. So chelsea went all in and took advantage of the waves! I myself am not a great swimmer and so I too stay close to the shore. Maybe it's cause I'm getting old. LOL! Anyway, we had such a blast just the two of us. We should definitley make this a tradition when dad's at work and Noah is away at scout camp!

Beach Day With A Heat Wave!

These past couple of days have been pretty brutal with the warm weather we've been having but I have to admit that the past two days have been the most brutal. When we went to the beach this past Tuesday the heat wasn't so bad. It was a tolerable 90 degrees and comfortable enough to sit on the beach for hours without sweating as if you're in a sauna. I desperately wanted to go to the beach again today, and I would have had the kids not been invited to a movie, or if Lexie wasn't babysitting. It's okay because we need the rest, and stay indoors for a change.

Cannon Beach, Oregon-Circa, 2003

Going to the beach in the late winter and early spring were my favorite when we lived out west, and because of the 12 hour drive from Utah to Oregon we only went twice a year. Sometimes I can't believe we survived all those years of living in Utah with only going to the beach a couple of times a year! The fact that I had these two sweet girls made that chapter in my life super fun!! It's no wonder I survived! These two sweethearts kept mothering more lively than exhausting. Then again I was in my 20's when I had them so my energy was sky rocketing!
