I'm Going To Be A Great Aunt!!!

Perfect happiness is a beautiful sunset,
the giggle of a granchild, the first snowfall.
It's the little things that make the happy moments, not the grand events.
Joy comes in sips, not gulps.
-Sharon Draper

Well, this news is pretty grand for me because later on this month I'm going to be a Great Aunt, and that's a big deal for me! I am thrilled over the moon for my only niece to be expecting, and for her to becoming a momma so close to her 30th birthday! We are so excited for her tiny joy to come!

Happy Birthday To My Niece Who Turns 29!

Oh how I long to go back in time and relive the days of the the times we'd drive from Utah to Texas to visit family. Memories spent with my niece will forever be etched in my heart. I remember our days visiting her in the little town I grew up in Texas, and taking her to the infamous Dick Kleberg Park where she, and my girls would have a grand time being kids, and venturing out to Corpus Christi to take her to the beach, and eat some amazing, authentic Mexican food. I really miss those tender moments of our time spent together.

Fond Memories of My Niece Who Turns 28 Today!

I really, really hope my beautiful niece doesn't mind these old photos, and sending her birthday wishes via my blog. It's been a few years since I've seen her in person, and can't even begin to tell you how excited I was when we finally made contact with each other! She is a lovely young lady with a big heart, and I am so proud of the life she is living. I love her dearly, and want her to know how much I've always loved her. I can't believe she is 28 today! Time certainly flies once these kids reach their teens, and before we know it they are on their own, and making a wonderful life for themselves! I will always remember her as a young girl. Every time we would visit Texas we'd always pick her up, and spend time with her. Those are the fondest memories I will always cherish of her, and I have the pictures to prove it!
