A Beautiful Collaboration With Louis Vuitton & Yayoi Kusama!

New York city continues to surprise with so many adventures that include the best art installations and pop up shops. Noah was my adventure buddy on this day and last week we went to the Louis Vuitton pop up shop in the meat packing district and holy polka dots!! The only thing he was enamored by was the shiny silver balls. He's not a huge fan of polka dots and I wasn't a huge fan of the prices! LOL!

However, I do love this whimsical mural that was painted at the flagship Louis Vuitton store on 5th avenue as well as her exhibit at the NYBG back in 2021.  Kusama sure knows how to shout out bright pops of color. Totally suits her and oh how I loved the robotic display of her inside the window. Now that's window shopping! She looked so real! Such a fun collaboration and I'm not even into polka dots but it sure looks cute on a window display and inside a shop that's filled with a bunch of shiny silver balls!

Christmas In NYC!

Living near the city certainly has it perks especially during the holidays. There are so many places where we go year after year that never gets old. No matter how many people take and post the same picture on social media, the ones I take are my own and they are for me to remember and I don't mind sharing it and documenting it. I captured quite a few photos this year that may very well make it into the blog in the new year because there are so many Christmas posts I have drafted that I want to share, but today I will share what Christmas in the city looks like. And when you have kids that tag along they make it even more magical!

What We Saw In NYC!

In spite of Covid nothing stops us from venturing out and lately there has been so much to look and see in the city  and luckily we live close enough to where we can just hop on a train or get in our car and go. I love the art installations and the flower flashes that have been displayed lately. There's never a shortage of things to see or do in New York city and after watching "Pretend It's a City" just makes me want to live in it and visit it even more. I've gotten so used to the nuances of the city that I feel sometimes as if I actually could live there. Maybe some day but for now we are lucky enough to travel a short distance (yes...75 minutes on the turnpike is a short distance for me!) and arrive safely to our favorite city in the world!
