Here we are on the last day of February and I'm glad! I can tell spring is upon us and I am so excited for it! Valentines day this month was the best and I'm so happy that I spent it on broadway watching Moulin Rouge with my love. It was amazing and everything about the show was exquisite. The costumes, the set, and the scraps of songs that were sung were awesome! The show was very similar to the movie with Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman. I would see both again and again. Loved every minute of valentines weekend and hope that y'all had a nice long February!

Our Town On Broadway.
So ironic we saw this play the day before the L.A. fires started. Thornton Wilder's OUR TOWN n on Broadway was beautiful and it was so fitting with what had happened that week. It totally made me realize how fleeting and precious life is. To never take people or life for granted. To take care of each other as a community the way that L.A. did with all the essential workers and volunteers helping out. I read so many stories where people were so giving as to donating their time, money, and items for those who lost everything! So many people lost their homes and the photos I saw online looked like something our of an apocalypse movie! I'm sure there were a lot of bittersweet moments for those people who lost so much and I'm so grateful to have seen this show before it closed. It was a huge reminder for me to appreciate all that we have and to be there for those no matter who they are or where they come from.
**I also have to add that Jim Parsons did a magnificent job in his role. It was a pleasure to have met him after the show too...

Romeo & Juliet On Broadway!
Romeo and Juliet for Chelsea's Christmas/birthday that is coming up in 14 days! She was sooooo excited that I got tickets for us to see this. It was riveting and beautiful and oh my gosh I could watch it again. It ends in February after valentines day so if you're in the city go see it! After the show we walked around Times Square and walked through the holiday village where we found a shop that sold ate 30 dollars worth of tongula. This candy coated fruit was delish! It began to snow a bit and the flurries were falling so gently. We walked toward radio city and captured pics in front of these huge iconic red ornaments! Christmas time in the city never gets old and walking to see all the ornaments on this side of Manhattan is always the best!

Hell's Kitchen on Broadway!
After spending the day in Dumbo, we went to see the new show Hell's Kitchen. And so far it is by far one of my favorite new broadway shows. I can watch this over and over again. It was magical, funny, dynamic and captivating. Everyone performed so well. This one late spring day was absolutely perfect. So grateful for my wonderful husband who knows what puts a smile on my face when I'm feeling blue. It was the perfect gift after saying goodbye to all my girls after Lexie's wedding. Yes, broadway is therapeutic for me in every way!

SIX & Back To The Future On Broadway!
Broadway shows are the best gifts anyone can give me, and on my 52nd birthday I ended up watching two broadway shows and it was so much fun! I never grow weary of seeing a broadway show. What I do grow weary of is going to Times Square twice in one week! LOL. Don't get me wrong. Times Square is epic and all but the only reason we go there is to see shows and that's it! Maybe if we are in the mood we will walk around and eat at Cane's and capture a few shots, (and of course write our wishes before New Years eve once a year) otherwise been there done that way too many times!

"Come From Away" And A Little Date In Washington Square Park!
Oh how I've fallen in love with Greenwich. I don't care how much reefer I smell while walking through Washington Square park. I think positive thoughts all the time and just walking through New York city streets I feel nothing but bliss. I am always reminded of the movie August Rush when I walk through the arch. Jon can see how much I love this city and how I treat it. I treat it with love and give her the confidence that I have built to have. Especially at my age with grey hair and all! Love it love it! I love that New York is filled with hidden gems and I don't mind having our date nights in this area. Like all the time! With the weather getting warmer (although pretty windy on this day) the streets of the city are alive once again and it's bring everyone outside. I mean if you look at these pictures you'll see why I prefer date days and nights in the city as opposed to my hood in Jersey!

Phantom Of The Opera On Broadway!
In spite of what's happening in the world we cannot let it bring us down or prevent us from doing our day to day. I love spending time with my family and having date days and evenings with my husband is something we NEED and to be honest doing the smallest things such as reading and getting outside helps me escape from the worries of the world. There are a million ways we can find peace among ourselves without having to feel guilty that we are out and about doing things but life has to go on. And the fact that we live in the U.S.A. there is only so much we can do to help serve our fellow man.

Neil Simon's Plaza Suite!
Waited almost two years to see Neil Simon's Plaza Suite on broadway and we finally saw it over the weekend! Sarah Jessica Parker and her hubby Matthew Broderick were hilarious and Jon and I couldn't stop laughing! We still are till this day. These two amazing actors were cheerful and fun and sure work well together. I would love to see it again and again. Mostly because their characters remind me of me and Jon in some form! Oh, what a night! Such a perfect evening spent with our favorites "Carrie" and "Ferris." It was perfection and definitely worth the wait!

Phantom Of The Opera In NYC!
Three days before Halloween Lexie and I went to our first broadway show after 18 months being closed due to the pandemic and it felt sooooooooo good to be inside a live theatre again. Broadway is definitely back and so many shows have opened up and right now is the time to go cause tickets are crazy cheap! We had such a great time and Phantom was amazing! I can watch that show over and over again! I cried like a baby so bring lots and lots of tissues if you are planning to see it! And if you are curious about the requirements to attend a broadway show, you must provide proof of vaccination along with your ID, a negative covid test and yes...you need to wear your mask throughout entire show. I promise going to broadway right now is so worth it!
