Chicago!

From now on going to Chicago is going to be our go to spot for vacation each year. Not only do we family that lives in heart of the city but we absolutely love it! The last time we were here was two years ago. We got see our favorite cousin Kenzie and see some of the touristy sites. It was dreamy and a miniature Manhattan. This time we got to do more than just sight see. We went to a broadway show and saw Beauty and the Beast. We went to the beach and this time saw the Bean without it being surrounded by a fence. We also went to the burbs of Chicago where we went to the temple. It was fun and lovely and honestly did not want to go back to Jersey! Oh how the energy here is so different from Manhattan. I would love to live here. It was such a fun trip and look forward to coming here more often!!

Beauty and the Beast in Chicago!

When I was planning our little trip to Chicago I saw that Beauty and the Beast was ending in august and knew that I had to get last minute tickets to see the show. I did and that was my first broadway show in Chicago! It was so moving and beautifully done! We loved it and it reminded me of my oldest daughter Sierra who is now 30! She loved the Disney movie and always loved dressing up as a princess. I wish I could have watched this with her but seeing it with my hubs was fine too! We had a lovely evening and I'm so glad we were able to get tickets!

Chicago!

Road trip to Utah has come and gone and for the past ten days we have been catching up on some sleep! Even though school has started we are still adjusting to our back to school schedule so I finally found some time to hop on here and write about our first trip to Chicago! We've never been and I don't know why we never made a trip here sooner. It's only a 13 hour drive and having family living here should have been a good excuse as ever to come more often and should have done this trip a long time ago! We spent an entire day here before heading toward Utah and I'm so glad we stopped by. It is a magical, clean, beautiful city and it truly gives off a cozy and homey vibe. As much as I love NYC I totally fell in love with Chicago and we will definitely be back to visit Kenzie, have more deep dish pizza, ride the "L" and see the bean when it opens up again in 2024! Can you believe we missed it by two weeks and now it's gated and being worked on! Still, it was a fabulous trip and look forward to visiting again soon!

Now for some photos.....
