Road Trip To Texas Part Two.

One thing I love about Texas are the sunsets. We were driving on a highway and captured the sky. It looked as if it was on fire. Road trips are a highlight of our summer and I absolutely enjoy them.

A Texas Summer Part One.

Going a little backwards in October with snippets of an August summer in Texas. I can't believe it's over. It was a fast one filled with bittersweet moments. Visiting Texas without seeing my mom this summer was sad. I can't believe she's gone. I cried off and on along the way. Luckily we had Whataburger to cheer me up.

Seaglass Carousel- A Summer Favorite!

The seagrass carousel is a favorite in the summer and I'm so glad we all made it again this year. It has been a while since we've been here. Noah is getting older and I through he wouldn't want to ride it but he did. He remembers all the times he rode it when he was little. I sure miss those days of riding it with him but he's too big to sit on my lap! LOL! Totally was nostalgic for me. I love this little gem in the city and will continue to come and ride. Because we're never too old to feel like a little kid again and pretend we are under the sea!

Pool Days!

We've had heat wave after heat wave and even when we don't have them it's still 87 degrees but feels like 100! Surprisingly I haven't' minded it too much. At this age one would think I've had enough but so far I haven't had any issues with the heat. The only thing I hate is that our house gets too hot upstairs. We don't have central air and spend most of our time downstairs where the a/c units are but this summer we have been spending it at a nearby pool. It' been fun and refreshing and of course we make sure we have our sunscreen on. It's been a pretty cool/cruel summer so far and have tolerated these heated temps. School starts in three weeks and whether I go to the pool alone or with Noah and his friends w'e are going to make the most of what's left of summer!
