Every time we travel through New England Maine is a must see, get down, sit and walk along the edge of the beach kind of place. Especially since there is a lighthouse. Cape Neddick is one of my favorite little towns in Maine, and no matter the distance from Boston we always, always make the trip up here.

Coney Island On Memorial Day.
Coney Island is one of my favorite places to go in the summertime. It may be overcrowded and let's be honest...dirty but none of that matters to me. It's nostalgic and brings back so many memories of the time my mom took my sister and me to the movies to see the Warriors. Often wondering what this place looked like in real life. She has yet to come here for a visit but loves the photos I take every time we come here.

Happy Memorial Day From Boston!
Boston sure knows how to remember Memorial Day! Every year 37,000 flags are placed below the Sailors and Soldiers monument in Boston Common honoring the service men and women who have served since the Revolutionary War. I really appreciate this as well as the volunteers that do this each year who keep a close eye on them all week long! Thank you for your service and hope everyone has a nice Memorial Day! Ben Platt In NYC!
Since I didn't get a chance to see Ben platt play Evan Hansen in the Broadway Show "Dear Evan Hansen" I bought tickets to his Sing To Me Instead Tour. Chelsea has loved him as Benji in all the Pitch Perfect movies, and was so excited to hear that he was coming to NYC. Of course the other ticket was for her, and so I surprised her with it, and when I asked if she wanted to come with and make it a girls night she obliged. Didn't hesitate for a second and she had so much fun going out on a school night last week! Hearing Ben live in concert was the BEST thing ever and his voice is incredible! You gotta listen to his album!

Photos From Last Saturday At The Playground In Philly!
There are days when I literally wish I lived in the city. I crave it quite often which is why we are always venturing out to New York, DC, Boston, or Philly. I wonder how my life will be once Jon and I are in our late 60's and our kids are grown and on their own. Will we still be living in Jersey in the burbs, retire elsewhere where it will be a lot less to live or live in the city where it "might" be affordable if we rent the smallest studio apartment. Who knows, but for now we are enjoying our days with the kids we have left at home.

Inspirational Thought For The Week...
"For beautiful eyes look for the good in others, for beautiful lips speak only words of kindness, and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone."

A Few Snippets From Mother's Day Weekend!
Lately, I feel as if I have been running my Instagram account on full mode with little captions and stories instead of writing longer, blog-journal entries and feel as if I'm neglecting this little blog. I love writing about our adventures and outings, but the time of my life right now seems that posting our little moments on Instagram is more efficient than my blog but then my guilty conscious gives in and tells me to keep this blog going. After all, it is pretty much being documented for my posterity.

To Kill A Mockingbird On Broadway!
I don't know how many of you in my generation read to kill a Mockingbird in high school, and if you didn't, ever had the book introduced to you. I never read it in high school but I do remember seeing a copy of it at my local library when I was in middle school. Never read it, and I honestly never heard anyone really talk about the book. It wasn't until my own daughters read the book in high school, and after watching the movie ( love black and white movies) knew that I had to finally finish reading this book, and see the broadway show!

A Little Mother's Day Post.
"To those who are mothers, and to those who are not. To those who have mothers, and to those who wish they did. To those who are living their lives fully, and authentically, through all its ups and downs. We want you to know you are enough!"

Inspirational Thought.
Every birth begins as a mystery, an enterprise whose outcome cannot be foretold. We think, "may all be well." And all is well...almost always. But joy is only the beginning of the journey. And we must move forward, fueled by faith.

A "Go-To" Idea Summer Bucket List...

Simplicity.
"To live content with small means;
To seek elegance rather than luxury; and refinement rather than fashion;
to be worthy, not respecatable; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly; to listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart; to bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasion, hurry never;
in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious grow up thorugh the common, this is to be my symphony."

Lexie Lately: Freshman Year Of College Under The Belt!
Although she's done with finals she's staying an extra month in Utah to work and to spend more time with her sister. Even though they were roomies this past semester time was hardly on their side. Sure they made time for each other but at the end of the day there was studying to do, papers to write, and a lot of walking to work! But alas school is out, and finals are over and these two can relax now. Wait...relax??? What does that even mean?? They both still have jobs!

Indie Bookstore Day In Brooklyn!
Over the weekend we spent our entire day in Brooklyn, and it was dreamy. The fact that it was Indie bookstore day made it worthwhile. We spent most of our day in Greenpoint which is near Williamsburg. We stopped by a couple of bookstores, and took advantage of the weather, and scenery and walked throughout the neighborhood only to spot beautiful blossom trees. We even spotted a box filled with books, and Noah and I began to fumble through it and he took a couple. Hey, when a sign reads free, take it!
