The 91st Street Garden In Riverside Park.

For those of you who are familiar with movies filmed in New York particularly the You've Got Mail garden scene, I'm sure that this place will bring back some fond memories of Meg and Tom in that wonderful movie! I can't begin to tell you how beautiful Riverside Park is in the spring.

A Visit to President Grant's Tomb On Memorial Day.

Along the banks of the Hudson river there is a hidden gem called The General Grant National Memorial. It is known as Grant's tomb, and it is the largest mausoleum in the United States. President Ulysses S. Grant and his wife Julia are both buried inside. The story behind President Grant is impressive, and noble. I didn't know very much about his background, and all that he designated, and stood for, but he was definitely a man of integrity, and hard work.

Looking Forward To A Long Weekend By Keeping It Old School.

It's been such a nice week so far, and we are looking forward to the long weekend ahead. This week has been pretty busy with Noah's field day, scouts, and Chelsea's back to back choir concerts, and it's only going to get busier with piano recitals, and Lexie's scholarship dinners next week. That's what happens when you have three kids in three different schools! So many end of the year school functions, and those are signs that school is almost out!

Lexie & Owen: Senior Prom '18

Helping Lexie getting ready for prom had me feeling a bit melancholy too knowing that this is it. Her final prom, and the ending of her high school career. She has about 20 more days left of her senior year, and in all honesty I hope she finds joy in them rather than wanting to just graduate already! Which she pretty much is soooooooooo ready to move to the next chapter of her life...college!

Pretty In Pink.

OH what a weekend, and holy photos! Brace yourselves with this post because once again there's going to be a ton of photos! There will be a second post tomorrow with photos from the day of Lexie's actual prom. I went to town capturing different angles of this beautiful girl at Sayen gardens, and on top of that literally got a total of six hours of sleep throughout the entire weekend!

A Little Letter For My Firstborn Who Turns T W E N T Y - T H R E E Today!

I couldn't let this day end, or got to bed without writing a little something about my oldest daughter Sierra who turned 23 today. I've written numerous posts about her in the past on this blog, and although I've mentioned not writing too much about her because she's pretty much on her own living her own life I can't help but to whisper sweet somethings on this little space of mine on the internet that's specifically meant for her eyes to see, and read.

Under The Blossom Trees!

Well, it seems that with the thunderstorm we had the other day, and all the rain we've had so far this week wiped away most of the blossoms from the trees which means summer is on its way. We were lucky to have spotted so many blossom trees throughout this season to shower in them. It's like spring snow without the cold.

Caught In The Midst of A Storm.

Yesterday we had a storm pass us by that was crazy insane! I've never seen anything like it in Jersey except maybe when Sandy hit. I grew up near the gulf in Texas so I know what to except when a storm comes, and the effects are pretty similar to a hurricane. The day will be so beautiful with blue skies, and the sun shining, and then all of a sudden the sky slowly begins to cloud up turning the skies from a clear blue to a dark grey, and then it becomes real windy. Almost like a tornado!

A Tribute To Grandma Patsy.

Yesterday at approximately 10:45 am while facetiming with Sierra my mother-in-law walked into her room to let her know that grandma Patsy took her last breath while talking to her. Sierra stood up, and stepped away from her laptop, and all I could hear were their sobs, and shaky voices. When I heard my mother in law describing what happened that's when I knew that she was gone.

A Mother's Day Post: Appreciating My Children.

"If you have Children who are grown and gone, and in all likelihood have occasionally felt pangs of loss and the recognition that you didn't appreciate that time of your life as much as you should have. Of course, there is no going back, but only forward. Rather than dwelling on the past we should make the most of today, of the here and now, doing all we can to provide pleasant memories for the future.

Tulip Picking At Holland Ridge Farms!

I hope you don’t mind this overload of photos, because i have at least 25 pictures on this post, but it seems like nowadays people scroll through blogs just to look at pictures instead of reading so if it's okay with you there will be more photos than words on this post, and because.... tulips!!!
