August is the month that lacks holidays. The month in which everyone is prepping for school. The month in which we tend to neglect because it creeps in on us, and quickly passes on to September. This is our last chance to have those last minute family vacations. These are the last days in which to get our feet wet whether at the beach, or in the little pool in your backyard. This is the last month to literally feel the sun beating down on our face. The last chance for the sun to make our hair lighten naturally, and for our skin to turn brown.
The last chance to act crazy, and spend it with your dear friends.
This is the month to sleep in a little longer, stay up a little later, watch a little more television, turn the volume up a little louder when dancing to music, and play at the park until dusk.
This is the month to have bubble parties, make more s'mores, eat lots of water ice before they close for the season, and just savor the moments of family time.
This is also the month in which I will not take for granted, because next August in 2013...my oldest will be attending college!
Definitely taking advantage of the last month of summer before school starts with our kids, because before you know it...September will be here!
So if you don't hear from me for the rest of the month...it means I am busy with my family!
