Peace, Love, & Happiness Installation.

Here's hoping that the month of February treated y'all well and that y'all felt so much love this month than ever before. In spite of all the snow we got in the east and all over the country (71 percent of it!) I hope that everyone survived and endured the unusual freezing temps (especially in Texas.) I wish y'all more peace, love, and happiness in your future and in your lives. I hope that the next 10 months will bring more blissful moments. I hope that spring will come faster that we expected. I hope that each day we wake up we will have a good attitude and have positive days. I hope that your days are bright as all the snow we had. I hope that the worries of the world will be less on your shoulders. I hope that no matter where you are or where you live that you will find joy in all that you do, and with all that you see.

**Peace, Love, and Happiness art installation is located at Pier 17. More photos below, and if you look at the last photo it's even more beautiful in the evening when it's overlooking the Brooklyn bridge.

What We Saw In NYC!

In spite of Covid nothing stops us from venturing out and lately there has been so much to look and see in the city  and luckily we live close enough to where we can just hop on a train or get in our car and go. I love the art installations and the flower flashes that have been displayed lately. There's never a shortage of things to see or do in New York city and after watching "Pretend It's a City" just makes me want to live in it and visit it even more. I've gotten so used to the nuances of the city that I feel sometimes as if I actually could live there. Maybe some day but for now we are lucky enough to travel a short distance (yes...75 minutes on the turnpike is a short distance for me!) and arrive safely to our favorite city in the world!

A Farewell To The Summer Of 2020.

Although the summer of 2020 was not what we were expecting and just downright bizarre, I'm still a bit sad to see it go. But we made it work. We made it to the woods in Maine, and to the beaches of New England. We made it to the Jersey shore and spent simple moments outdoors as a family. We made it to the drive in theater and made numerous trips in the city that was once the epic center of the virus. Spent time in Dumbo and ate ice cream, shake shack, and Juliana's pizza. And the times we went the lines weren't long! Such meaningful and wonderful moments that will be etched in my mind for always. I do look forward to fall and hope for the best this season, but in some weird way summer of 2020 will always be remembered. Always.

Here are a few photos from a bit of summer spent in one of my favorite spots in Brooklyn. They had a really cool installation in Brooklyn bridge park which is a reverberation bell which indicates that by pulling it summer is ending.

Noah-isms//Spring Edition.

To start off this lovely edition of Noah's "Noah-isms" I have to share with you that Noah's favorite saying lately has been "what the what!" At first I thought he was going to say the "f" word, and the only reason I say that is because kids his age are saying that, but luckily he didn't, and he hasn't, and even though he's heard it he knows it's a dirty word, and vows he'll never say it, but then again he's eight, and innocent which makes me want to keep him at that age forever, but then again he has to grow up, be challenged, and tested, and learn in order for him to grow up to be charming, strong, and valiant!

"Flower Power" Art Installations in New York City!

I know I've mentioned this before but one of my favorite things I love about New York is when you randomly go out of the blue especially after having a loooooooong snowy day! New York is definitely a city full of surprises, and as we were in Soho the other day we walked by this awesome looking red car with a lot of fresh flowers displayed inside. It was absolutely beautiful. There were so many people taking pictures with it, and I swear most of them were models with photographers holding cameras the size of an old-fashioned boombox!
