Chelsea's Senior Night-Tennis.

This past Monday was senior night for chelsea and she was recognized for her accomplishments and hard work in being the best tennis player she can be. Three coaches, four tennis partners, 25 teammates, and four years of 324 tennis matches! Can’t believe this is the end of Chelsea’s high school tennis career and she ended up winning her last match!

I have also witnessed how soooo many of the younger girls loved and looked up to her. These young women were (are) like the little sisters Chelsea never had. For Chelsea, it wasn’t always about winning, but making it a team effort and paying attention to the younger girls who needed a boost as they themselves are learning to have a love for the game. Bittersweet for sure as she’ll miss them when she graduates and as she hangs up her tennis racket for the time being.

Tennis Season- Senior Year!

Tennis season has begun for Chelsea and I couldn't be more excited! Even though the US OPEN is over I still get to watch my girl play. So far she has won a couple of matches and her serve is strong! She has improved so much in the past four years of playing in high school. It's bittersweet knowing that this is her final year playing in high school and am so excited to see her play. I hope she wins lots, but most of all I just want her to have fun with the game.

Tennis In The Summer Time!

Temperatures have been in the 80's lately and before Lexie left the kids managed to play a lot of tennis. It's a perfect time to play and get all hyped up with the US Open beginning in a couple of weeks. We hope to attend a watch a match or two with the kids but with school in session it's almost impossible and Jon and I  usually make it a date night.

There are many more tennis moments that were made this summer but only captured the kids on this day as the weather wasn't too hot for me! There are days when I can handle the heat and days I can't (thank you menopause!) So on this morning while we let Chelsea sleep in Noah and Lexie had a little match with me being the "umpire." I am so happy that Noah enjoys playing tennis and it is my hope that he will join the team this next spring instead of track, but it's his choice as to what sport he wants to do. He's getting better and better at tennis though and would love to see where it takes him if he sticks with it. Lexie is pretty much a pro and whether it's 100 or 80 degrees she and Chelsea will never say no to playing a game of tennis!

Tennis Season Is Here!

Tennis season has begun and Lexie couldn't be more excited about it. She won her match the other day, and was the only one who won the match on their team. Although it was sad to see her other teammates not winning their matches Lexie was ecstatic when she won!

Our Day at the U.S. Open.

I remember my mom being glued to the television set every time the US open came on. Every year since I was six until my late teens she'd be watching it! She'd sit in and watch her favorites Jimmy Conners, John McEnroe, Billie Jean King, Chris Everett, Bjorn Borg all play. She got me hooked on watching tennis since I was like six! I wish I would have taken lessons as a child, but we couldn't afford it. And today I count my blessings for having a husband, and four kids who enjoying playing, and that they all have a passion to play. I'm so grateful that my mother's example in watching something on television that was uplifting, and fun stayed with me as I got older to the point where I was able to afford my own racket, and tennis balls! Yeah...I taught myself, and then married Jon, and he taught me more! Blessings for sure!

This past weekend as an early birthday gift Jon took me to a place that I've been wanting to experience for a looooooong time.

And he did.
My dream of going to the US open finally came true. It was such a surreal moment for me to be sitting inside the Arthur Ashe stadium watching a live match where people play to win big!

The first time Jon took me to a tennis match was five years ago. I was so excited that I got to see my mom's favorite tennis player against mine! Connors, Courier, Sampras, and Agassi, although retired all played for charity. That will always be a date to remember!

I couldn't believe we were there all day! This date started early in the morning, and lasted well into late in the evening, and man was it awesome! I don't think we mentioned our kids once except when I told Jon that we should definitely bring them next year so they can see a live match! And how great this would benefit Lexie since she is the most passionate about this sport!
The grounds inside are absolutely beautiful. There's a huge jumbo tron in which you can sit in front of the fountains watching the game while doing a bit of shopping. There are quite a few stores where you can buy everything us open! And a number of food places where you can grab some grub, and believe me being there all day made me hungry, and so we bought some yummy food!
If Noah was here he would go crazy over this pretzel braid!
Like I said, we stayed waaaaay late until Stan Wawrinka won his last match agains Kei Nishikori which was close to 10pm so these pictures were obviously taken on our way out! I didn't take too many photos during the matches because hello, I wanted to enjoy the games!
On our way out we saw my mom's favorite on the championship wall.
And one of mine from my generation...
And the first one to win the us open who was an amazing example to all, and pretty much started it all!
I absolutely had an amazing time, and didn't want to leave! I wanted them to keep on playing, and wish I had tickets to have seen the finals! Wawrinka ended up winning his last match agains Kei Nishikori. Kind of felt bad for Kei not winning. I could tell he was exhausted towards the end of the match, but Stan's playing wowed the heck out of me, and he really deserved to win. He also ended up winning the finals this past Sunday taking home 3.5 million dollars! As much as I enjoy Novak, Stan played a great game and deserved to win!

We definitely look forward to coming next year as a family, and hope that one day we will make it to Wimbledon!

Now that would be ideal!

A New Team, & On Winning Her First Tennis Match.

I love this time of year when the weather starts cooling down where I can sit and watch my girl play tennis. When I went to Lexie's first official tennis match last week I noticed her rocking her school colors. They just got their tennis uniforms and I think red and black suits her. If you notice her tennis shoes they are the same as her school colors. I bought them back in April and little did we know we'd be moving to a school with those same exact colors! When I noticed that I said to Lexie, "this school is meant to be!"

I missed the first part of her game due to Noah's bus coming home so late. The first week of school tends to be a little chaotic with buses arriving, and dropping off late. Her match began at 4:30, and because we had to drive 15 minutes to her location arrived close to 5pm causing us to miss the first part of her game. Luckily I caught a glimpse of her backhand, and she and her new partner killed it! Score was 6-2.
Abi is her new tennis partner, and in some cool way reminds me of her tennis partner back at highland. I've met most of the girls on the team and these group of girls for the most part are polite, and sweet. It makes me feel good seeing that Lexie has meshed in real well with the team. Here, in this part of Jersey kids and coaches take tennis seriously. Tennis is a lifestyle, and not just a sport, and that's what Lexie likes about it. There are girls on the team who have been taking lessons since they were six, and play really well. Lexie has a genuine love for the game, and tries her best to practice so she can play her best. Her coaches are really kind, and easy to talk to and I can see that they work really well with these girls.

Lexie's goal is to become good enough to play in college, and I know she can do it. If she practices hard enough she can do it!

I'm happy that she feels confident, and comfortable on her new tennis team, and that she has fun playing the game! And from what I have been seeing during her practices throughout the summer, and her first game she  already is!
I think it also helps knowing that she has a cute little brother who likes to photobomb pictures! The girls think he is the cutest thing alive!

Have a great season Lexie!

We Heart Tennis.

For the past few weeks since summer began the kids and I have tried our best to go to the courts to practice on whatever they need to work on. Each of them, including myself needs to practice more on something different. Even though Lexie tells me I have good form, I know I can rock at tennis if I only took lessons. Lessons are expensive, and when you have three kids who want private lessons, well...they can add up and sometimes you need to make those sacrifices for them. Luckily Lexie is a rockstar at playing tennis, and with her knowledge will teach Chelsea a bit so that helps me save some money over the summer. I will throw balls at Noah in hopes that he will hit them, and also work on his form. He's getting pretty good, but having a playground right next to the courts doesn't help his concentration. I swear every court we have found in our area has a playground, and he always wants to play in it. I figure let him be a kid, and it's okay if we don't get our full 30 minutes of hitting balls, and working on his swing. I want him to love the sport, not hate it! So we always have an agreement that when we come play tennis that we can play one game, hit a few balls for ten minutes, and then he can play at the park. So far that agreement has been working since he started taking lessons last spring

The kids all play pretty well together, and when I see that they have a passion for playing tennis it makes me super happy. Chelsea will help Lexie at her game by hitting the ball at her so Lexie can work on her serves. I think Lexie rocks at tennis, but she is her own worst critic though, and feels as if she can do better. Yes, she can always do better. We all can! That's why we practice, and because of the move, and all haven't frequented the courts too much this summer. Luckily with the few practices that we put in our schedule so far have helped Lexie. She is going on her third year of tennis, and hope that she will shine in her new school, and that she will have a great tennis partner this year.

When we went the other day to play tennis that's exactly what we did. Play. Not take pictures. Sure I added a little snap on my snapchat (which my username is r_jorgensen), but for the most part we were all playing. There was no one on the courts to take pics while we were all in a game with each other, and I only managed to capture a few when the kids were done.
Including a very sweaty Noah.
I'm so glad to see that the girls play well together, and when Sierra comes and visits they all want to play a match with her. We love tennis, and hope that they will continue to have a love for the game as they continue to grow older.
Especially Noah since he would like to play on the BYU tennis team! We have many years to go for him to be prepared so good thing we started him young! That's if he'll still want to play that sport when he's older. Keeping my fingers crossed!

L.O.V.E. at the Tennis Banquet.

Monica Seles once said, "Tennis has to become everything to you, if you want to make it to the top. You have to live it." One thing I have to say about Lexie in regards to tennis is that she really has a love for the game, and believe me she lived it all year long. During the summer, and throughout the school year she worked exceptionally hard on practicing so that she can make the team, but most of all to play with the best, and you know something...she had a great year.
Not only did she have a great doubles partner, but she had two amazing coaches that helped her along the way. These two coaches are definitely unique in their own way, and from what Lexie tells me they're both different yet, so much alike. So much alike in the sense that they look after their girls when it comes to playing. She really admires them both and appreciates their way of coaching.

Tonight's banquet went really well, and man did I fill myself up with pizza, chips, soda, and a pile of dirt cake in a cup! I guess now that tennis season is over the girls are allowed to eat all the pizza, and junk food they want. Wait a minute...I'm sure they did that regardless of playing! Anyway, it's always a joy attending my girls banquets, and to see them grow in their accomplishments. It sure makes me one proud mama. The years are definitely changing, and quickly passing us by. It's important to remember these moments so that they can reflect back on their achievements, and what they did in order to get there. Practice makes perfect, and I know that Lexie is very willing to practice her heart out no matter what the season is so that she can make varsity next year. There are a lot of seniors who will be graduating which means a lot of open spots left to fill for next year. Lexie can totally have one of those spots. If she really works hard, and practices hard enough, and continues to work on her form she can definitely fill one of them, and be one of the top players on the team. She has the desire, determination, and stamina to make that happen. Everyone can be a great tennis player if you just work hard enough.

Now, a few more photos from tonight's banquet...
^^^ Before each award was presented Mr. Wonderlin would add a snippet about each girl, and mentioned how every time Lexie would miss the ball she'd make a weird noise whereas Kourtney would vent, and let off steam on twitter. The truth made them laugh! ^^^
^^^ Jackie is an amazing player, and played on the varsity team this year. Next to Lexie she was one of my favorite players. ^^^
^^^ My little photo bomber. ^^^
^^^ and a couple of group photos of this years tennis team. ^^^
So glad I captured this photo of Britney who is an alumni at Highland. She also played tennis with my other daughter sierra. We face timed her tonight before the banquet began, but had to hang up because i didn't want to be disruptive. How cool it would have been had Sierra been here to support her sister, and see one of her dearest, and closest friends.

Pretty bummed that i didn't get a photo with lexie, but then again we have so many pictures together. Very proud of Lexie on how well she played this year, and amidst all the drama that opponents may bring she managed to handle it pretty well. She always played a good game even when she was defeated.

But between you and me, after she lost a game she would let off her steam to me and her dad. And when she plays watch out. The serious side of Lexie comes out with her orneriness and all especially when the opposing team is cheating! She does have a dark side to her when it comes to playing tennis, but that's because she truly has a love for the game.

She reminded me of something Chris Evert once said...

"To be a tennis champion, you have to be flexible. You have to be stubborn. You have to be arrogant. You have to be selfish, and self-absorbed. Kind of tunnel vision almost."

Well, she's not quite there in flexibility, but she's well on her way. And even though she's humble, she can have that attitude, but at the end of each game she played it was all good!

And she was good sport.

More Than A Tennis Post.

There's something about tennis that catches your eye, and movement between two, or four people (since she plays doubles) that gets you intrigued by who is going to miss the last shot, hit the net, or have an out ball. It's nerve-wracking especially when that person that's playing is your kid. Yesterday was Lexie's last tennis match of the season, and it was a totally bittersweet moment. She, and her amazing tennis partner won their last match, and I'm definitely going to miss seeing them play.

Even though I'm going to miss her tennis matches, I'm sort of relieved that it's over. Sort of, like...in a minsiscule way. The fact that her life has been piled with endless hours of honors homework, and waking up for early morning seminary every day made me feel sorry for her, but she loves it! She loves the sport, and as much as she dislikes waking up at 5am every morning to attend early morning seminary, also known as bible study, she knows it's good for her. She knows that without it her days would end up chaotic. She knows that she wouldn't be able to tolerate the immaturity that kids bring to school, the strength she needed to practice, the stresses of life, and finding balance among the life of an honors student.

When I was talking to my mother the other day about how the kids are doing in school, and when she asked what time they went to bed I told her that they didn't have a bedtime schedule. When she specifically asked what time Lexie went to bed I told her it varies. On the days she has tennis matches, and homework it could be ten, 11, or even midnight! When she emphasized how she really needs at least eight hours of sleep because of her schedule I said to her that we both would love her to have extra sleep, but somehow she manages to get it together during school with very little sleep.

When she questioned why Lexie was the only one who got up so early I explained to her all about seminary. and that's when the topic of seminary came up. Like most people who have no clue what seminary is, my mother didn't know exactly what it was. I thought it came up in a conversation a while back when Sierra attended, but I don't think I ever explained to her what it was in its entirety. She thought it was odd having it early in the morning not to mention at 5:30am, but one thing I can testify to having bible study so early in the morning is the fact that it strengthens my child to endure her days with goodness especially in today's society. And that's exactly what I told my mother.

My mom's reaction over the phone was, "what?? well, you chose that religion." I said, "yes i did, and know it's true. I love how well it has blessed me, and my family for the past 23 years." I mentioned to her how there's a reason why seminary can be a blessing to all those who attend. Even though some who attended it in the past may not have benefited from it, but if you look at it from my perspective those who choose to pay attention, and attend for the right reasons will benefit them in its fullest regard. They will be able to handle any trial, and hard task that they will be confronted with throughout their high school, and years to come. I then ended the conversation with my mom by saying, "you see how well the kids are doing, and how Sierra managed all her hardships, and now she's going on a mission."

My mother respects my beliefs, and luckily for me she knows when to stop because we both do not like confrontation. We both know that contention comes from the devil, and that there's no need to bash anything about any religion.

I will never stop defending my beliefs as to why I chose a religion that makes perfect sense to me. The Lord has truly blessed my family in profound ways through the good, bad, and extremely ugly. We have all in one way or another have been tested, and tried with what we believe in, and when I see the way my girls are today, and how they hold themselves especially my oldest daughter, I count my blessings for having Heavenly Father looking out for us even in our darkest moments.

For 23 years I have hung on to my faith based on Jesus Christ because I know it's true. I know that all the programs in our church really help our youth become strengthened, but when you have free agency it can be hard, and i guarantee kids will rebel, and go wild. It's in every religious denomination. Without that free agency they would never grow, or understand their purpose in this life. Everyone's view on religion is different, but to me it's very simple. I don't like conflict, or contention when it comes to talking about God. When one talks about the Lord contention should never be an issue, and fortunately for me and my family we have come to an understanding that even though we all have different beliefs, and views on religion that love and respect come first.

This post was supposed to be all about how well Lexie played tennis this season, but somehow ended up into an explanation of why early morning seminary is important, and in expressing my beliefs of the church i attend as well as my testimony of the Savior with conviction.
I am proud of Lexie, and impressed at how much she's improved on her game. She's super amazing when she plays. You can see a glimpse of her playing here. She, and her doubles partner had an amazing season. I don't know how she does it so far with making all A's, and waking up at 5am with little sleep for seminary, having practice, and tennis matches after school since school started. I totally attest that her strength, and perseverance comes from God. Blessings definitely do come to those who try their best to serve Him with the right intentions and on their own motive, and that's Lexie. Don't get me wrong she's already had her own trials, and she most definitely has her imperfect moments as a teenager, but I know that if she applies what we teach her in the home, as well as at church when it comes to the gospel, great blessings will come her way.
Winning her last tennis match was a great end to the season!

A Good "Match."

Going to Lexie's tennis matches is like good therapy for me. I love the competition. I love that she loves it. I love that she plays from her heart, and I love that she has a doubles partner who actually uses the technique that she is taught at practice, and that they use all their might to play the best they can. They have had quite a few wins lately, and I have to say that after playing one of the toughest teams today, they played really well. And although they didn't win, their hard work, and effort that they put into the game is good enough for me to see that they love to play, and seriously try their hardest to win, and handle defeat with a good attitude.

With tennis comes frustration. At least it does for me when I see people that I love, and admire play. Tennis celebrities included. I have also noticed that I have to contain my composure when I go to my daughters  tennis matches. I don't pull a John McEnroe with curse words or anything, but I'm definitely the parent that shows my frustration when I see the opponents not being completely honest when they score. There's no umpire, and their coach cannot stand at every single court watching all their girls play so it can be a bit difficult when there is no one to determine whether the ball is in or out. It's up to the players to determine that.

Not all the teams that they've played are dishonest in their scoring, but to see the Jorgensen girls playing, and taking score with integrity tells me that we parents did a pretty good job in raising honest, well-mannered young women. It's upsetting when I see the opposing players whispering, and looking down at them with somewhat of a "I play better, and I'm more skilled" attitude. For the most part I'm pretty okay, and try my best to just let it go. I try really hard not to embarrass my daughter by voicing negative words, or talking under my breath uttering words like, "hello, can we say thank you" or "nice manners babe." You know, stuff like that. Not a very grown up way to handle things huh? There are times when Jon will tell me to "keep my voice down", or "be nice", and sometimes I just don't listen. I know I should be a better example, and not stoop to a high schoolers level when it comes to seeing any of my kids play. I see it in Lexie's face that she gets a bit frustrated as well, but with tact will let them know that their ball was out. Hearing the words "nice shot", "nice serve", or "nice backhand" towards their opponents pleases me. They truly are the kindest girls regardless of how dishonest, and rude the opposing team can be.

Overall I always leave the matches with a good attitude, and not once have Lexie or I uttered the words, "you cannot be serious" out loud! I mean, it's not like their playing for Wimbledon and shooting to win a silver cup! I have to remember that it's high school, and that they're not being graded on it! Integrity is big deal to me, and it's nice to see that some of our kids in today's generation still have that. Especially when it comes to playing a sport.

Here's to the Jorgensen girls who are a great "match" when it comes to playing tennis, and wish you the best in winning more matches this week!

TENNIS SUMMER SCRIMMAGES.

The weather couldn't have been more perfect last week. We had nothing but sunshine with zero percent humidity which made it perfect for us to sit comfortably without sweating profusely to watch Lexie play tennis.

Last week she had two scrimmages and played exceptionally well. Jon was lucky enough to have had two days off to watch her play. It is always so nice for him to get days off during the week so he can sit with us and watch her play. It's so hard nowadays for parents to sit in on their kids games especially when they work during the day, but as luck would have it his days off fell on the same day as her scrimmages! Lucky duck! We all cheered her on as she was playing doubles. Noah and Chelsea sat on the bench like two little adults cheering her on as well. At times they would fight over the balls that were being thrown over the fence, but luckily there were enough balls for the both of them to keep, and then return after the game was over. It's so nice to see them interested in watching their older sister play. Gives me a lot of hope that they will both stick to playing tennis while their young.
I love this time of year where we can sit in and go to Lexie's games. She has the heart and has a strong love for the game just as her sister did. I still remember the first time Sierra took her on the court to practice, and am so grateful she has developed a love for the game. She is passionate and worked hard practicing all summer so she can make the team which she did. I'm so proud of her, and hope that she'll have an amazing season, and continue to learn from her coaches all about the game and to win.
Now how about that US Open? Any one been watching the games? That Federer is awesome, and we are still determined to go to Arthur Ashe stadium to attend a game, but for now I will settle watching my daughter play!

TENNIS LESSONS FOR CHELSEA.

Chelsea began tennis lessons back in July, and just like her sisters, and little brother she is loving it. I was excited that she had the same coach as Noah did when he took lessons, and coach Ron continues to do what he does best. They all begin with leg exercises, and skills that will help them be fast at hitting the ball on the court. One game in particular was called "drop and dash"  where they have their hands in a T, and they have two balls in each hand. As soon as they drop one of the balls their opponent dashes to grab it without dropping it on the ground. I saw Chelsea doing this one particular skill, and I have to say she was pretty quick at catching the ball.
Some of the days were brutally hot, but luckily the kids are only out for an hour and half with lots of water on hand. It's so nice to see kids having an interest in tennis. It truly is a sport that I have always loved since I was little. Never played it in my high school years, but grateful to be playing it now with my kids in their spare time, and that my kids are showing a firm interest in it. I only hope that my two youngest will stick to it all the way up into high school (and maybe college!). My two oldest daughters didn't take lessons when they were toddler or elementary age, but they do have a love for the sport.
It's always a bittersweet moment when tennis lessons are over, but I'm grateful for a wonderful coach who acknowledges my daughter, and tells me that she is ready for private lessons. I told Chelsea it's either cello, or tennis because right now i can't do both. Maybe later...but not right now. I can't even begin to tell you how much we sacrifice in order for our children to play an instrument or sport they love. In the end it is worth it because on their own motive they'll either love it, or they won't. So far they all have loved every activity, and instrument we've put them in, and it's so hard to tell them we can only do one. Private lessons are doable in the summer and spring for Chelsea, and Noah. But just because we have to wait until the spring doesn't meant that they can't play in the fall with family!
I am so grateful that we as a family have a love for tennis, and that it is something that even if our kids don't pursue it in their future that we can always play it until we are 80 years old!

NOAH-ISMS// TENNIS EDITION.

It has been almost two months since Noah's tennis lessons ended, and as each goes by I try to take him to the courts to practice at least two to three times a week. At the time he didn't have a decent sized racket so now that I bought him one that's his size he's been wanting to play tennis every single day. Watching his sisters play has really helped his motivation increase too.

There have been times in the past where he will only last like ten minutes on the court and then want to play around. The fact that the courts have a playground next to it doesn't help his concentration on practicing.

Well, the other day he surprised me by not wanting to play on the slide or swings.

I asked him, "noah, do you want to play tennis first or go on the swings?"

He said, "yes".

I said, "yes what? Playground or tennis?"

He said, "I want to play some tennis mom."

I know for a fact that buying him his own racket has motivated him to play longer than usual, and to ignore the playground. All he kept saying was, "hit it to me again mom, another one mom, one more time mom." After a while of hitting the ball to him I asked if he wanted to play in the park, and he still kept saying, "no mom, no park, one more time. "Hit it to me again mom." Go, mom go!" That "one more time" turned into an extra 15-20 minutes of playing, and that really made me happy.

And then he went to the swings afterwards.

AND A FEW OTHER NOAH-SIMS...

It never fails that whenever we pass a horse whether in the city or in the outskirts of jersey Noah will say, "the horses stink with their butts and farts."

After talking about families, and how many sisters he has--"Mommy all your kids are five, seven, nine and twelve right?" I laughed and told him that the only age he got correct was his own.

When he had a cold a few weeks ago, he crawled into our bed, and woke us up. I felt his forehead, and it was burning up! It turned out that he had a bit of a fever. Nothing major, but it still worried me. Before we gave him some medicine he said, "i don't feel so good mom, I think I'm dying."

Not that we eat at Dominoes, but every time he sees a car with a domino on top he starts singing, "pizza car, pizza car, pizza pizza car." He's obviously seen the commercial.

When we came home from church last week Noah asked if he could bring his stuffed animal next time we go. I said, "No son. You don't need to bring any toys of any kind to church." He said, "but "Amy" does all the time. I said, "No papa, "Amy" may have insecurity issues, and may bring it for comfort." Noah, "do I have issues?" I laughed out loud!

Noah and Chelsea continue to roughhouse a little too much especially when they play outside with their nerf water guns. I saw that Noah had a scratch on his back, and I asked him how he got it. He said, "When Chelsea hit me last year. Chelsea hits me every year mom." I think what he meant to say was, "when Chelsea hit me last time! Chelsea hits me all the time!" Anyway...he starts school this fall so his grammar will be up to par! Also need to nip the hitting between them two!

Noah and I have a routine of snuggling with each other not the couch before bedtime. On this particular day he didn't want to snuggle with me on the couch which made me sad. I said to him, "you don't want to cuddle with mommy?" Noah then says, "no mommy, you were with sister Hines all day. I want to be with daddy now." I think he was upset because I was gone all day, and we didn't get to play tennis. I said to myself...Payback is a witch!
Time is certainly fleeting with this kid. I look at him everyday when he wakes up, and i just stare at his big brown eyes, and light brown hair almost tearing up because God has blessed me with such a wonderful child. A son no less! One that looks like me (so people tell me), who is funny, kind, helpful, thoughtful, and affectionate. Never thought I would ever experience raising a boy, and I am loving it, and living it up!

Now...let's go play some tennis!

NOAH'S LAST DAY OF TENNIS LESSONS.

Six weeks really flies by when you are having fun, especially when it comes to watching your kid doing something they really enjoy.
In our case...tennis.
This past Saturday was Noah's last day of tennis, and oh...before I continue, why is it that when they first begin they don't really get into it because they are too busy playing, not really paying attention talking to other little kids, but when you tell them it's their last day they get all interested, and start working harder hitting the ball more!?!

What's up with that??

Luckily Noah had great coaches who were on the top of their game constantly telling them to pay attention in a super nice way, and Noah listened (sometimes.)

And helping put the balls away was his favorite thing to do.
Chelsea will be starting lessons this month, and she is super excited! She was such a good helper to Coach Trish and Coach Ron helping out with the little kids.
Coach Trish, and Coach Ron are amazing teachers, and I'm so happy that they'll be sticking around to teach Chelsea's age group. If you are a Jersey resident I highly recommend taking private lessons from Coach Ron. He knows what he's talking about when it comes to tennis. His devotion to the children, and teaching them all about leg sports, life skills, and cognitive skills was amazing! The games he did with the kids that tied in with learning all about tennis was fun, and very helpful. They even gave out prizes, and treats for the kids who worked hard, and finally aimed at hitting the ball (which explains the two clothespins clipped on his shirt.)
Noah learned a lot in six weeks, and worked really hard which is why he's wiping his sweat in the photo below, and I hope that next time you see him will be hitting the ball over the net like a pro! Wait...did that just rhyme??

My future little Andre Agassi.

And how was your weekend?

Happy Monday!
