Cross Estate Gardens.

I have to say it has been a really chill summer since we got back from Texas. The kids had pioneer trek a week after we got home and because chelsea is leaving for college soon she is taking in all the sleep she can get. She knows that once she goes to school and works that she sleep deprivation will kick in. So on the days where she's not dog sitting or figuring out what to take to college I am keeping it low key and trying to find relaxing places for us to venture out to.  Luckily there are many hidden gems and picturesque places nearby that require less than an hour drive where we can relax and spend time as a family.

Last week we went to cross estate gardens. It truly is something out of a fairytale. There's a huge water tower that is still used for water! The history behind it is amazing. They have a lovely garden and a trail where you can walk around. It's historical and it is a perfect place to capture wedding/engagement photos. It was a perfect day and the weather was good. The kids even took their own pictures and I loved that they did. They are both growing up and I love that these two love on each other. I think reality is beginning to sink in for Noah that his last oldest sister is leaving. He was too young when Sierra left the nest and remembers Lexie leaving for college, then her mission, and then college again. Now he is realizing that he is going to be the last kid standing! I am going to try and take advantage of the next two weeks before we take chelsea to Utah. Even if it's just chilling at home rewatching Felicity or Gilmore Girls that's fine with me. As long as she's by my side. Noah too because before you know it....he will also be graduating from high school and off to college!
