BYU Bound!

Well, this is it. Another daughter of mine is heading off to college, and this time will be living 1900 miles away, and it's okay. It's okay because I know that she is ready, and that this is the place she chose for her future academics, and that she will be in good hands. And just like her older sister who has been away from us for five years now will do many a great things. I always miss them both when we venture out on our regular family trips, but it's nice to see Sierra living an independent life, working hard to live, and it will be nice to know that Lexie will be studying hard to gain the best education.

It'll be nice to spend the last two weeks of summer with her before school starts, and that we will have spontaneous adventures in Utah. We never plan so it'll be as if she never left home! It'll be nice to see her place, and meet her roommates, and walk along the campus.

I know that she will focus on her studies at BYU. I'm so grateful to have friends living in the same college town, and that we have a ton of family there, and that she and her sister are super close!

It's nice to see our children progress, and go through hurdles to find their niche in this life, and to face the challenges with strength knowing that they will overcome all adversity if they choose to find a solution. My faith in my girls has been pretty solid, and although they both have gone through their own challenges in their young life they always manage to come out of it by learning a lesson from it.
We will miss our dear Lexie, but I know that she'll be good hands, and guided by God. Her sibs will definitely miss the heck out of her. Chelsea will miss her dutch braiding her hair, having her as a tennis partner, and being her roommate...
and Noah will miss playing tennis with her, playing games, and reading Harry Potter together. Oh man is he going to miss her!
Our time spent with her has always been nothing but pure fun, and joy. She is the greatest, and I know she is destined to do great things.
Good luck to our Lexie, and as Aunt Lynn says...reach for the stars, and don't ever give up!
