Yayoi Kusama- Cosmic Nature Exhibit Part II

Kusama certainly has an obsession for polkadots. Whether they're wrapped around a tree or placed in a fountain it looks so magical. As soon as we entered the NYBG this big starfish was the first piece of art we saw and it is so much beautiful in person. You can view part one of this post with more of her artwork here. This cute little shed filled with flowers was one of our favorites at the Kusama exhibit. Such a magical interactive work of art. You are given a flower sticker and you can place it anywhere in the room. I'm glad we came later on in the month that way we can see how it looks when its filled up with so many sticky flowers. The kids took a while finding a spot because it was pretty full. Noah found the perfect spot and Chelsea took a little video of me placing one on a hanging plant which you can view here. Such a beautiful gesture and her idea came from a dream. I honestly hope this brightens up your week because I still can't get over the red/pinkish color. What a creative mind Kusama has!
