The Search For The Perfect Tree!

Over the weekend besides going to the temple, attending a birthday party, and going to the theatre to watch Instant Family (which is hilarious and beautiful) we went tree hunting in search for the perfect tree. A friend of mine told me about a tree farm they recently visited, and because the trees in their photos looked appealing in the background decided to go there in hopes of picking one, but to no avail. When we arrived it wasn't what we were expecting. All the trees looked picked over, and they were not from Canada.

When it comes to tree picking I'm pretty picky, and when we pulled in to park, Chelsea saw the trees from a distance, and said, "ummm, no mom!" Emphatically! We all agreed to leave only after taking a few photos of a few trees that seemed picturesque.
Big tree or little tree. Noah was joking around saying how he wanted to chop this huge tree and take it home. And then felt sorry for the little trees that are barely growing.
We call this "tree-peeking."

Once we got our picture taking of our system we headed back to Windsor where we used to live. Windsor tree farm is where we got our tree last year, and they are the best looking trees. And they are from Canada. Last year Lexie was with me when we picked it, and it was perfect! We lucked out again, and all decided on picking the same tree, and it only took us 10 minutes.
We love our little 40 dollar tree that Chelsea picked, and it fits perfectly in our little apartment

The kids had fun decorating it, and now it officially feels like Christmas in our house!
Bring on the holidays!
