Macy's 95th Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade!

The Macy's thanksgiving day parade is really fun to experience in person if you are in the city. This was the first time where we actually arrived close to 6am! We live in Jersey so the drive that early in the morning only took us about 45 minutes on the turnpike and it was so nice not having any traffic entering in! I recommend watching it down 6th avenue near radio city. Central Park west is a nice spot but in all honesty being near the park where the sun hits pictures may not look so great. So when you have a tall building like Radio City Music Hall blocking the sun you're photos will most likely won't have any sun spots and what not. But if you're not photographer and just want to sit and watch the parade then by all means you can go to any spot where the balloons will be passing! People may think we are crazy for waking up that early but watching it in person and having a front row seat is the best way to watch the parade. We've been doing it for nine years now. This year I noticed that there was still some room to get a good spot at 7:00 am but anything later than that it'll most likely be crowded!

I have an obnoxious amount of photos to share from the parade and it was absolutely magical. All the balloons were so awesome this year and our favorites were boss baby, sonic, and of course Grogu (baby Yoda) which is a new one! I also love when the volunteers walking in stilts throw confetti at us! The floats, the live music, and the marching bands are amazing!I honestly think my girls come specifically to see and hear the marching bands play. Some of the them are awesome! This year Alabama's marching band had so much energy! All the waving and cheery faces of the volunteers walking the parade shouting "Happy Thanksgiving" warmed my heart and truly made our thanksgiving day great! I love New York so much and what a perfect way to start off the holidays by attending the Macy's parade! So glad we've made this tradition!

Brace yourselves because there are so many photos below and a nice photo of Santa on the sleigh at the very end!
