Pumpkin Picking in 80 Degree Weather!

Tis the season for a month of fall estivities! There are so many things we'd like to do as a family this season, but no way to pack in on all those things on our fall bucket list. Finding balance, and doing the simple things that are fun without added stress is the way to go, and lately we have been doing just that!
Last week we went apple picking at Battleview Orchards, and decided to go the same orchard to pick pumpkins. It would have been nice to have worn fallish clothing while picking, but in all honesty I didn't care. It was fun wearing shorts, and birks to the pumpkin patch regardless of the dirt that was in between my toes when we came home, but we didn't mind! I honestly think Halloween is the kids favorite because of the color orange! They absolutely love going to the pumpkin patch to pick that perfect pumpkin, and I'll tell you the girls were so meticulous in picking that perfect pumpkin this year.
Just to show you how careful they were in picking that perfect pumpkin here are four pumpkins Chelsea laid out to choose from! It took her about 25 minutes to find, and about five minutes to pick 'the perfect one!'
It didn't take Lexie too long to find one, she immediately found two, eliminated the one, and was pleased at the one she chose.
It didn't take Noah long to find one. He's so easy to please! I think he mostly likes coming to walk around the patch looking at the different size pumpkins. He ended up taking two home. A small one to paint, and a big one to carve!
And a few more photos of my sweet, fun family!

As always we had so much fun on this beautiful, warm, sunny fall day with our kids. We love time spent together as a family, and look forward to a few more fall adventures!
Happy Monday!
