The Last Match & Senior Day!

The milestones are never ending in the Jorgensen household, and I don't think they'll ever stop! Last week was Lexie's last tennis match and "senior day." It was bittersweet watching her play all season, and although she didn't win her last match she had a pretty good year. The day the girls had their senior day was very sweet. The underclassmen bought them flowers, made them signs, and t-shirts with their names on it. There were all kinds of goodies which included pizza, soda, and a lot of junk food that these girls shouldn't eat before a tennis match, but luckily no one got sick, and they all played a pretty good game!
Some of these photos were taken by one of Lexie's peeps so excuse the photos if they are not clear. We were a little late arriving to the party, and because we didn't have Lexie's tennis uniform had to run back to the house to grab it so she wouldn't look like an oddball in some of the photos. That's what happens when you go on a hayride a couple of hours before the banquet, and lose track of time! Lexie didn't mind that she wasn't in full uniform right away, and so she jumped in to capture some of these moments with the tennis team.

She was so lucky to have continued to play with her peeps from last year. I wrote this in a previous post, but moving in your junior year of high school can be tough for some, but this girl was blessed to have made some amazing friends. Abi was her tennis partner last year, and they all had fun cheering each other on as they both played on the courts.
Regardless of losses, and stressful moments Lexie made the best of her last year on the tennis team! She will miss playing, and hopes to make time for tennis once she goes off to college! She loves the sport that much!
