Noah's birthday like all other birthdays was simple, special, and sweet. Extra special because for the first time in his eight years of his life his grandparents from Utah celebrated it with us. They usually come during the summer for a visit, but this year they were gracious to fly in on his special day. Having Sierra here with us has also been a treat for him too. Event though it's been a year since we've seen here, sometimes it feels like an eternity for Noah. We love her so much, and are so happy that she is with us for a few days!
We celebrated with the usual. Cake, and pizza. Cupcakes, and cake. Cupcakes, and more pizza. He is so easy to please, and he didn't even get upset because he didn't get any legos or transformers. I'm grateful for the friends who took the time to send him both baptism, and birthday gifts, and he really appreciated them, but this year he seemed more interested to the gifts that flew in for his birthday...family!
Such a blessing to have family fly in for his birthday, and as I pause to take in this wonderful moment I cannot be anything but extremely grateful!
Family is the best gift ever, and the best period!
