Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade '17!

I can't believe another Thanksgiving has passed us by, and that this was our fifth year going to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. We braved the cold temperatures this year (last year it was in the 50's) and stood for about an hour, and a half until the parade got to our part of Manhattan. We stood right smack in front of Radio city Music hall, and had a pretty good view of the floats. People are always kind to let Chelsea and Noah stand front and center of the parade. They had a clear view of all the floats, and people walking in the parade. It was nothing but magical, and fun.

I captured a few moments on my smartphone, but because I was concentrating on not thinking about the cold didn't take as many as I used to in past parades. It's always nice to watch it on TV, but it truly is an experience to see it in person! Chelsea had my phone for like 20 minutes, and she took a few shots. She did her best in taking these photos, and I think she did a pretty good job considering all the selfie sticks with smartphones that were in our way!

Some of the newest floats this year was Olaf & Trolls! Noah's favorite!
After the parade we did our usual, and walked around Rockefeller Center. This part of Manhattan is super magical, and we love seeing all the huge ornament displayed around the city. New York never gets old in taking some of the same photos in the same spot each year. It's interesting to look back at past photos to see how much our kids have grown up, and changed! Ice skating would have been fun, and a perfect time to go being that it wasn't crowded, but the kids were cold, hungry, and tired from waking up at 5am standing around for the parade to start. We will definitely go next time!

And the countdown to Christmas begins!
Here's wishing everyone merry days ahead for a wonderful Christmas season!
