Arthur Ashe Kids' Day!

After telling the kids how much fun we had at the US Open last year the kids have been wanting to go a game, but instead we decided to attend Arthur Ashe Kids day in Flushing, New York. Kids day at the US Open is for kids up to 17 years, and even though they didn't have any fun games for Lexie she was fine with watching some of the pros playing tennis on the grandstand. The kids had so much fun, and we pretty much spent the entire day here. We arrived at 10, and stayed until 5pm!

That was a long day especially for this little guy. I have to say that Arthur Ashe day is geared more towards the younger kids, and Noah was all over the grounds making his rounds to participate in a few of the activities they had going on.
There was an obstacle course in which he was drilled on, and then played a round of tennis with other kids. He had such a fun time, and really enjoyed all the freebies he was getting for participating.
After the activities were done we headed inside the stadium to watch a few performers sing such as Sofia Carson, Why Don't We, Alex Along, and also saw US open champs such as Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Venus Williams play a little tennis. It was such a fun time, and as you can see in this 7 second video Noah especially had a blast banging his bam sticks!
Lexie is the major tennis player in our family, and she is so happy that her little bro is interested in "tennising" as Lexie calls it! He started lessons two years ago, and really enjoys playing.
Upon leaving the stadium Noah tried to grab every single bam stick in the house! I think I will be hearing these sticks until school starts! Some of them have already deflated!
The day was too perfect, and the kids didn't want to leave. They wanted to watch more games, and since we've already experienced Arthur Ashe kids day we will go to a championship game next time!
If you follow me on instagram, or looked on my snapchat (which I hardly use, but still do from time to time) there were videos of how we spent the day, as well as some entertainment after the performances. Noah is still small enough to get on papas shoulders! Don't think he will be able to get on his shoulders next year though. He's getting too tall!
One person missing in this picture, (and all other photos) is my other daughter Sierra. I know she would have loved this experience as she also plays tennis. We miss her, and hope to have her in the picture next time we come!
Such a fun day for the kids, and to do this in the summer time was a dream come true for this little guy.
See ya at the championships. Until next time.
