Goodbye Kindergarten!

It's so cliche to say, "our kids grow up so fast", or  "I can't believe how quick this school year went." Well, in reality my six year old has been promoted to the first grade!" Today was Chelsea's Kindergarten graduation, and the whole kindergarten class had a nice program to present.
Their theme was "Each of us is a flower."

All the kids did such a great job. Chelsea's sunflower came apart during the performance. Luckily we were able to get this photo before it fell off her face.
Here are the lyrics to this sweet song:

Each of us is a flower
growing in life's garden
Each of us is a flower
we need the sun and rain.

Sun, shine your warmth on me.
Moon, cool me with your night.
 Wind, bring the gentle rain.
Earth, take my roots down deep.

Each of us is a flower
growing in life's garden
Each of us is a flower
we need the sun and rain.

~Charlotte Diamond

They all did a little dance to the flower song, and they all looked so cute. Chelsea definitely has the voice  of a cheerleader. When it was her turn to describe the letter G {which stood for good friends, we make more each day} in Kindergarten, she yelled it out for the whole school to hear!

After the program we had an outdoor picnic. The temperature was about 86 degrees, and it was comfortable for being outdoors. Noah had so much fun stuffing his face with junk food. Hot dogs and potato chips are an official summer food, and he was having the time of his life.

Luckily none of my kids have any allergies of any kind and they can eat pretty much anything they want...in moderation though!
Daddy spoiled him with eating cake! I'm glad Jon has the day off today so he can take care of him while he gets off his sugar high!
Everybody always wants to be around Chelsea. Who wouldn't be! She's fun and full of spunk!!
Afterwards all the kids played in the park after lunch, and worked off all that junk food they ate!

It was about 11:30 when we left the festivities. It was getting a little too warm for me, and I'm a bit tired, (can't you tell?). Although we need sun for flowers to live... I hope that the rain will cool down the hot temperatures we are expecting for the next couple of days. Overall, we enjoyed being here for Chelsea's Kindergarten graduation.
It was a great morning spent with our youngest daughter.
