Noah's Second Grade Spring Party!

It was 1:30 p.m. and as we walked into Noah's class it seemed as if the party had already started. The kids were eating ice cream cones, and as we stood in the classroom waiting for instructions there was nothing but laughter, and chit chat. Noah gazed over at me and Jon with a huge smile, got up from his chair to hug us, and then sat back down to finish his ice cream.

Seeing the both of us together made him the happiest little boy in the room. There were so many kids, and a lot of chaos. I could tell that Mr. B was pretty much ready to officially get this spring party started.
This was Jon's first time ever experiencing a class party, and he was a natural. He had so much fun with the kids. He interacted with them, and helped Mr. Keener set up the bowling peeps for the kids. You can see a snippet of that in a video on my instastory.
He even read them a story called Mater, and the easter buggy. Such a cute story, and the kids were so intrigued by it. They loved the way Jon read them the story. I can totally see why Noah always wants his pa to read to him instead of me!
There were crafts to make, and this time they made a spring wreath, and decorated it with butterflies, ladybugs, and bumblebees. Last year they made duck faces.
Noah loves making crafts, and had so much fun with his peeps making it.
Treat bags were given to the 22 kids who were all present. They were filled with sugar when we arrived, and they will most likely be on a sugar high when they go home! Blame it on me!
Spring parties wouldn't be done if it weren't for these parents! I am so thankful to these mommas who helped volunteer to make this happen. They are all kind, and know where to find the right games, and crafts for these kids to play, and make!
Grateful for this hunk of mine who was all smiles when I asked if he wanted to come with me. Noah's ear to ear to smile proves all too well that he was extremely happy to have us both there.

What a fun, and happy afternoon  it was for all of us!

Now if I can only get Noah to go to bed at a decent time. Thank goodness spring break is upon us this Friday!
